Dylan Grobler

Dylan, originally from the renowned wine region of Durbanville, embarked on his academic journey by completing a bachelor’s degree in Human Life Sciences (Psychology). His passion for quantitative genetics led him to further his studies in the Department of Genetics as a part of the Molecular Breeding and Biodiversity (MBB) group. With a background in bioinformatics and population genomics, Dylan is currently immersed in a PhD program focused on developing and refining bioinformatic protocols in grapevine. Specifically, his research focus is geared towards harnessing the vast potential of publicly available whole genome sequencing data in grapevine.
